Cara Memasang dan Mengganti Font di Blog

Bayangin saja jika blog atau website anda menggunakan jenis huruf Script, dari artikel yang menarik untuk dibaca menjadi tidak menarik. Oleh karena itu gunakan font untuk blog yang sederhana, jelas dan tegas.

Beberapa font yang biasa digunakan pada sebuah blog atau website yaitu Arial, Calibri, Roboto, dan Times New Roman. Atau jenis yang lainnya yang masih bisa enak untuk dilihat dan dibaca.

1. Pengenalan

Memilih font untuk tampilan dan artikel sebuah blog atau website sangat penting diperhatikan. Jika kurang tepat maka akan membuat pembaca atau pengunjung blog akan merasa terganggu dengan tampilan blog tersebut. Hanya gara-gara menggunakan jenis huruf yang kurang tepat trafik blog jadi berkurang.

Oleh karena itu, gunakan font sebaik-baiknya. Selain untuk tampilan blog, penggunaan font yang tidak akan membuat loading blog juga terganggu. Untuk blog ini hanya menggunakan font dengan jenis Arial. Tidak perlu script tambahan dan bisa tampil dengan apik dan tetap nyaman dilihat.

Jika ingin memasang atau mengganti font di blog atau website, gunakan layanan yang benar-benar support terhadap blog anda. Salah satu layanan dan mungkin satu-satunya yang sering digunakan untuk memilih berbagai jenis font yaitu Google Fonts.

Dengan menggunakan layanan Google Fonts ini, anda akan dengan mudah memasang dan mengganti fonts sesuai dengan keinginan. Banyak sekali jenis huruf yang bisa digunakan dan semuanya gratis alias tanpa biaya sepeser pun.

Cara Menggunakan Google Fonts

Kenapa harus menggunakan layanan Google Fonts? Layanan ini adalah yang paling mudah untuk digunakan. Untuk menggunakan font pada blog, hanya membutuhkak kode CSS dan kode HTMLnya saja yang harus dipasang kedalam kode template blog.

Buka layanan Google Fonts di https://fonts.google.com

Cari font atau jenis huruf yang ingin digunakan. Contohnya adalah Roboto

Setelah memilih font Roboto, halaman khusus font ini akan tampil. Perhatikan tampilan halaman Roboto ini, disana terdapat berbagai menu yang bisa anda coba sendiri.

Menu-menu tersebut digunakan untuk menampilkan tampilan font Roboto, mulai dari bentuk tulisan, ketebalan, miring, dan sebagainya yang bisa anda coba sendiri dengan membuat tulisan langsung.

Untuk menggunakan font Roboto ini kedalam blog, perhatikan bentuk ketebalan dan styles font yang akan digunakan. Font Roboto ini memiliki beberapa styles yaitu:

Thin 100
Thin 100 Italic
Light 300
Light 300 Italic
Regular 400
Regular 400 Italic
Medium 500
Medium 500 Italic
Bold 700
Bold 700 Italic
Black 900
Black 900 Italic

Untuk menggunakan styles font ini, pilih saja sesuai kebutuhan. Misalkan hanya menggunakan bentuk Regular 400, Regular 400 Italic, Medium 500, Medium 500 Italic, Bold 700, Bold 700 Italic. Untuk menggunakannya, pilih dengan mengKlik icon

Bentuk-bentuk font Roboto yang dipilih akan masuk kedalam kolom Selcted family dan kolom Used on the web. Dialam kolom Used on the web ini ada kode script HTML dan CSS untuk font yang bisa dipasang dan digunakan untuk blog atau website anda.

Cara Mengganti Font Dari Google Fonts ke Blog dan Web

Setelah mendapatkan kode script dari font yang ada di google fonts, langkah selanjutnya adalah dengan memasang kode font tersebut kedalam template blog.

  • Buka dashboard blog di Blogger dan pilih menu Tema dan klik tombol icon panah pada tombol Sesuaikan lalu pilih Edit HTML.
  • Masukkan kode HTML font yang sudah didapatkan di Google Fonts sebelumnya diantara kode <head> seperti berikut:

  • Agar fungsi kode HTML font diatas bekerja dan font bisa tampil di blog, tambahkan kode CSS untuk memanggil kode HTML font diatas. Untuk menambahkannya, cari selector body pada kode CSS template blog.

    Dengan menambahkan pada selector body ini maka font bisa digunakan dan tampil untuk semua bagian blog.

Cara Kedua

Sebenarnya hampir sama dengan cara yang diatas, namun untuk cara yang kedua ini hanya menguraikan isi yang ada didalam link font yaitu https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Roboto:ital,wght@0,400;0,500;0,700;1,400;1,500;1,700 dengan cara membuka di browser.

Anda bisa menghapus tanda /* latin */ yang ada didalam kode font diatas.

Untuk menggunakan kode diatas tidak seperti pada cara pertama yaitu dengan meletakkan diantara kode <head> tapi langsung diletakkan kedalam kode CSS template blog yaitu diantara kode <style> dan </style>

Dan memasang nama font kedalam kode CSS dengan selector body. Caranya sama dengan cara pertama seperti berikut:

body {
  font-family: 'Roboto', sans-serif;
}

Itulah cara memasang dan mengganti font blog yang sebenarnya sangat mudah dilakukan. Jika belum memahami, pelajari pelan-pelan karena semuanya butuh proses. Semoga bermanfaat.
